then completed a marathon—
all in one day!

All for kids with cancer.

Amy raised $13,068 for Mira's Movement in support of programs for kids with cancer and their families! Due to her registration through the Janus Charity Challenge and her success in fundraising, Mira's Movement will receive an additional $750 gift from Janus, for a total of $13,818! Amy, you're amazing!!! What a tremendous gift. Your dedication to this effort has been an inspiration to so many.


The Story
Amy Chaffee was one of Mira Brouwer's Speech Therapists at United Health Services Hospitals in Binghamton. Amy and Mira had a special connection and had lots of fun together as Mira was learning to swallow again. Amy is also a cancer survivor and understands what kids with cancer go through. Kids with cancer and their families need all the support they can get.

Amy is going the distance to help them get it!

A triathlon is a perfect metaphor for the journey of cancer. There can be many stages. They can be very different. And just when you finish one part of the journey, you find yourself faced with another. All kids with cancer deserve to get to the finish line and win the race. We want to help make 'the race' easier. And so does Amy!
